Doodle Labs is pleased to announce its partnership with MVP Robotics, a renowned innovator in the field of robotic solutions for tactical and sports training.
This collaboration aims to revolutionize training experiences by integrating Doodle Labs’ cutting-edge Mesh Rider Radios into MVP Robotics’ training devices, enabling real-time data transmission from systems that dramatically increase the safety and effectiveness of training for military, law enforcement and athletes in the field.
MVP Robotics has gained recognition for its groundbreaking training solutions, including their Humanoid Engageable Kinetic Training Robot (HEKTR) and Mobile Virtual Player (MVP), which have each set new benchmarks for realistic and interactive training experiences.
The HEKTR is a semi-autonomous, fully-armored, all-terrain live-fire target that replicates human motion. The dummy can reach top speeds of 18 mph and is capable of motion similar to that of a real human assailant for both outdoor terrain and indoor close-quarter engagement. The unit detects gunshots and transmits real-time training assessment data to a mobile app. This allows trainees to receive instant feedback and refine their tactical skills in a safe environment.
On the field of play, the MVP is a robotic tackling dummy designed for American football training. With zero-radius turning capacity, a self-righting mechanism and automatic shut-off at the moment of impact, the MVP simulates the on-field motion of an opponent but provides a safer and more efficient way for players to practice tackling techniques.
Both robotic offerings increase the safety of trainees and raise the bar on technical analysis to aid rapid training and performance in the field.
MVP Robotics has chosen Doodle Labs’ Mesh Rider Radios as the onboard datalink of choice in their robotic training devices. The Mesh Rider technology ensures reliable and secure communication, forming a private network that enables seamless transmission of control commands and real-time training data. This integration empowers trainers and trainees with instantaneous analysis and feedback, revolutionizing the way tactical and sports training is conducted.
“We are thrilled to partner with MVP Robotics to advance the capabilities of their innovative training solutions,” said Amol Parikh, VP Marketing of Doodle Labs. “By integrating our Mesh Rider Radios, we can provide a robust wireless communication infrastructure that enhances safety, efficiency, and real-time analysis for trainees. Together, we are shaping the future of tactical and sports training.”
“Prior to finding Doodle Labs, we spent roughly a year internally developing the radio capability that Doodle provides off the shelf. Doodle Labs’ support team is highly responsive and seems to stay one step ahead of the real-world challenges we must overcome. Our partnership has enabled rapid scaling with low-latency, high-reliability communications that integrate easily with third-party systems, providing a seamless experience for the athletes and warfighters we support.”
This collaboration between Doodle Labs and MVP Robotics represents a significant step forward in the evolution of training technology. By combining the expertise and cutting-edge technologies of both companies, the partnership aims to set new standards for training effectiveness and safety across various industries.
