How Sense works

Sense is engineered to actively monitor in-band interference and automatically switch channels or frequency bands to find the best-performing frequency.

When combined with Mesh Rider’s Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) and Low Probability of Detection (LPD) waveform, Sense ensures uninterrupted communication and connectivity for advanced drones in the fields of defense, public safety and commercial industry.

1. Transmit high-bandwidth data, like HD video, over long range.

Multiple Bands for Maximum Resilience

Doodle Labs’ patented multi-band Mesh Rider Radios pack up to six separate frequency bands into a single low-SWaP radio. They are available in a variety of band combinations, including licensed federal frequencies (M1-M6, L + S band, Nato-C band) and unlicensed ISM bands.

When Sense detects interference in a current operational channel, it seamlessly switches to a better-performing channel or band automatically, maintaining resilient connectivity even in harsh RF environments.

Intentional Jamming

Intentional jamming occurs when an adversary deliberately interferes with your communication signals. The goal is to disrupt your control over unmanned systems, effectively neutralizing their operational capabilities. This type of jamming is a common tactic in electronic warfare, designed to create confusion and hinder mission success.

Environmental Interference

Unintentional jamming, on the other hand, stems from the myriad of electronic devices prevalent in urban environments. These devices can inadvertently interfere with your communication signals, causing disruptions that are just as detrimental to your mission as intentional jamming. Common sources include Wi-Fi networks, mobile phones, and other wireless communication systems that clutter the electromagnetic spectrum.
