Doodle Labs Accessories have been designed to maximize both the performance and reliability of the Smart Radio platform.

We have carefully selected and tested each accessory to simplify integration is simplified and optimize performance when using both the products together.

Antennas

We offer two types of antennas, Multi-Polarized antennas work best with unmanned systems, and Gooseneck antennas are more rugged, designed to be handled frequently for Wearable applications.

Multi-Polarized

Wireless radio communication equipment operates most reliably when the path between transmitting and receiving antennas are within an observer’s line of sight (LOS) or where no obstructions exist between antennas to impede the signal. However, such a path rarely exists in areas where most communications take place. Natural and man-made obstructions between antennas, such as widely varying elevations, trees, mountains, buildings and vehicles frequently diminish the strength of a radio signal. 

The Doodle Labs Antenna is multi-polarized, and it propagates signals with considerably less loss than most other types – regardless of natural or man-made environmental obstructions. This antenna concept applies to all wireless communications, which includes all mobile robotics (aerial and ground) in point to point, point to multi-point, and mesh configurations.

Wearable Accessories

Pouch

The Smart Radio – Wearable is designed for a variety of connected team use cases. 

We designed a custom-fit, ruggedized pouch for tactical teams that need to bring the radios into harsh environments.

The pouch provides weather-protection, and includes 2 compartments: one for the Wearable, and another for a battery pack (see below). A short USB-C to USB-C cable connects them through an internal hole maintaining the water-resistant seal.

The pouch is designed to be the perfect tactical node that teams can grab-and-go in deployed network scenarios.

Battery Pack

We designed the Smart Radio – Wearable to have a lot of flexibility over the power input so that it can adapt to your ideal setup, especially if you already have a preferred battery (like Conformal Wearable Batteries worn by soldiers).

We also offer a small battery pack that provides a day’s worth of power in the field. The battery pack is designed to fit in the pouch.
