Long Range

Connect over any distance

The farther a platform operates, the harder it is to hold a link. Doodle Labs delivers long-range performance that keeps command, control, and video connected at the edge.

Why Doodle Labs

For unmanned systems, range is about more than transmit (tx) power.

Astro aircraft flying through mountain terrain

Interference, terrain, and the weight a platform can carry all affect how far a connection reaches and how well it performs once it gets there.

Doodle Labs addresses these constraints directly, delivering added link margin, low-SWaP hardware, plus mesh and relay options that extend your network's reach.

Product overview

Long Distance Performance from Doodle Labs

Doodle Labs combines high-power amplification, low-SWaP hardware, and mesh networking to extend link range without changing the network architecture. We preserve data rates at maximum distance, reduce the size, weight, and power added to the platform, maintain connectivity when a single link is not enough, and scale range as mission requirements grow.

Boost

Range extension

Boost adds transmit and receive gain to any Mesh Rider radio without requiring a new radio or a change to the network architecture.

Key features
  • Up to 4 watts of additional transmit output
  • Extra receive gain for a stronger return signal
  • Field-verified range of up to 328 km
  • Drop-in integration with existing Mesh Rider radios
Low SWaP

Low SWaP, long-range radios

Long-range platforms can’t always spare the size, weight, or power a larger radio requires. Our radios can fit a wide variety of applications without having any critical trade-offs.

Key features
  • Compact form factors suited to space-constrained platforms
  • Long-range performance without added payload weight
  • Consistent link performance as distance increases
Mesh & Relay

Mesh and relay extension

A single radio's link budget has a limit. Our mesh and relay capabilities extend connectivity past that limit by routing through other nodes.

Key features
  • Multiband options for network flexibility
  • Relay through intermediate platforms when a direct link is not enough
  • Network-level range that extends beyond any one radio's reach
Range

Extended range without a new radio

Boost adds up to 4 watts of transmit power and extra receive gain to any Mesh Rider radio.

Low SWaP

Range without added weight

OEM and Mini carry mission data over long distances without adding the size, weight, or power.

Our technology
Multiband

Extend the network when one link isn’t enough

Multiband and mesh options let a platform relay through other nodes when distance or RF conditions exceed a single link's budget.
